  • Replace My Carbon Copy

I gave my sister my old Carbon Copy so i need a good delay. I was thinking of the Way Huge SupaPuss because it's analog and Dunlop and has tons of cool options, but i figured I'd ask you guys for some recommendations. I can't find another analog pedal with all of the features the SupaPuss offers, and I'm pretty sure i don't want to go digital. Ideas?

The Vapor Trail gets great reviews, I suggest trying it out if possible.

Do you need tap? If so, Supa-Puss is a great choice.

Malekko 616, Standard, Dark or Lo-Fi depending on your preferences.

Do you have any Chase Bliss? I almost shot the moon for the Black Friday sale, but every demo I hear of them is always whacked out experimental stuff. I mean Joel is an awesome dude who created some amazing stuff, but most of the time you just need a simple sound.

I have all of his pedals.

They can do simple very well.

Here's my latest board (for bass):

                  Here's my current guitar board:

And because four pedals is enough for nobody, here's the board I'm going to put together when I have free time (hah!)

Wah goes in the bottom right, power supply on top left. Fuzz or overdrive will go on the bottom, along with a MIDI controller for the Chase Bliss pedals.

                    Re: Replace My Carbon Copy

I replaced mine with a Belle Epoch, and replaced that with a Flasback mini.

Both of those are digital with analog dry-through, though.

My next will be the Dunlop Echoplex, as it works fantastic with my Dunlop Echoplex Pre, but same thing- analog dry-through.

                    Looked at the WAZA DM2?

Deluxe Memory Boy (assuming you don't want to pay for the DMM). A bit dark by default but you can tweak the tone of the repeats, very "analogey" and a ridiculous amount of features for the price.

The Boss DD-7 is a digital Delay and sounds very good and pretty analog like.
The tc electronics Flashback, pick the one you like is also a digital delay but sounds great and kinda analog like.
Boss has a analog Wazacraft Delay pedal that looks simple. If it's as good as the Blues Driver and Chorus Waza Pedals, this might be the home run your looking for. I'm gonna pick one up as I want to give it a go. The Wazacraft stuff from Boss so far as really impressed me especially the Buffer circuits.

What do you want from your delay? Analog/tape sounds or pristine digital delay?

The Supapuss looks very cool and the utube demos sound great. If you want versatility, it's hard to beat the TC Flashback for options.

Yeahh, i could see adding a Flashback Triple for writing and studio stuff buuut I'm pretty sure the SupaPuss is the best option for me. Warm analog tone is my thing, and this offers that with plenty of versatility...
