    suggestions for MELLOW phaser

The 45 has fewer all-pass filter stages. So the phasing isn’t as strong.

The block models have a different circuit with more feedback (regeneration) which makes the sound sharper.

This is why I don’t care for the block Phase 90. The script version is very smooth and mellow.

if you get a 201, get the newer reissue one. the power jack is standard-sized and it has the typical orientation to ground. older is goofy in both regards. plus the new one has an LED.

I built a kit Phase 45 from GGG and added a Uni-vibe mode switch, not a real UV, but it sounds great on both settings. So, I guess I'm suggesting a P45 too, more subtle than the 90, like 45 less or something

My all-purpose answer to all phaser questions: MXR Phase 95. It will do the 45 in both script and block modes. If you want something thicker, it does the 90 sounds, to. Four phasers in one for a bargain prices.
