So i got two new to me pedals . They are the boss ce-5 and a electro harmonics hot wax. I think they will make a good match with my boss dd6 and old mesa

Thats good to hear . Im really going in blind with the od pedal lol. But thats how we learn what we like and dont like right?

The CE-5 is decent.

The EHX Hotwax... I owned one for about 2 days and then returned it. Very thin, buzzy, undefined distortion with no character to it from either side of the pedal. "Plasticky" is the word that comes to mind.

Don't worry too much, you'd have to be pretty naive to think a pedal sounds the same through every amp.

That DD-6 is pretty nice, I still run one of those with another Boss FS-5U plugged into it for a tap function. I've used it for years and it does its job.
