Earthquaker Devices Night Wire is what he should be holding.

    You know, a GOOD tremolo.

That VHT is so under-rated. Strymon steals all the thunder, but the VHT was around for a long time, performs well, and at a decent price.

This thing is the tremelo to rule all trems..... sound wise

but I'll be honest, I'm pretty tired of $400-700 pedals on my board for gigging.

              This thing will stay home.

Not even close - especially at 400+

Now the Cali76...different story, of course, different effect.

I was referring to the Flint, which as time goes on, is still a great pedal. But not as great as the price would suggest.

List me ones that sound better, I will test them out in the studio and see whats awesome about them.

and gladly retract my statement too

I am really digging the trem on my TM Deluxe Reverb.

The music business is a cruel and shallow money trench, a long plastic hallway where thieves and pimps run free, and good men die like dogs. There's also a negative side.

My first amp - Peavey Classic ~1979 had Tremolo. So for a while, amp Reverb and Tremolo were all I had. That probably made an impression/got me hooked.

I keep them on my watch list when the price is low enough. Nothing pasted the "buy" threshold yet...so many Trems, so little dollars.

Still, that's three bills for a trem pedal that's not nearly as flexible as a Shape Shifter. If you just want to wallow in mid-century nostalgia, maybe it's the ticket.
See - that's what I'm saying. I have had discussions about this pedal where people say meh to both the reverb and the tremolo.

It's almost like it was the only reverb/Tremolo they could find and they spent a lot so now they double down on the Flint, even though it is expensive but "ok" on one side or both.

But after a while...they are willing to discuss. And then you hear the "meh"
