So, yesterday I got bored- and hooked my Joyo Ultimate Drive up to a selectable voltage adaptor.
At 7,5v, it was cleaner; at 6 volts I got a great semi-clean, breakup sound. Lastly, I tried 4,5 volts, and it's GREAT!
a juicy crunch, with a touch of...fuzz. . I forgot to see if it would run at 3 volts (last setting), but I'll give it a shot later.
Sorry for no clips, still working with renovating my apartment.
But this trick made the pedal, which I didn't like "stock", into a versatile and nice soundng unit! I wonder what happens if I try the same with my EHX Octavix fuzz..!
have a good one,
