    That's how I am using it. I really like the vibe of having something behind me though so having a powered cab like that onstage would be great in addition to the monitors.

      yeah i get that. my buddy actually puts his little powered speaker in front of him, i think id prefer it behind me as well

        Aside from investing in IEM's, I would rather have a monitor pointing up at me than hearing it from behind me.

          I still want a monitor in front of me but side fills or back fills help give you so much more vibe on stage.

          IEM's are probably the best modern solution but I am deaf in my right ear and when I tried them I got a disoriented so I've shied away from them.
