  • Got a DD400 delay

Got a DD400, some behringer plastic goodness in a little grey box with the hold function that kinda samples your whole phrase, really interesting way to play with delay that I've never used before
it's cheap and feels cheap but sounds really good.
cleaner repeats than I've used before, which is nice for layering other delays and reverbs, it definitely triggers the reverse reverb on the Keeley realizer better than a darker analog voiced repeat for instance.
great sounds for $40, but it feels like so flimsy when you hold it and step on it.
but yeah I feel like between $30 on the caline analog voiced digital delay and $40 on this I got a lot of delay basics covered, except modulation, and no tap tempo but hey who cares I can upgrade down the line when I get to know more about what is out there and learn what features I want most in delay. so far very great to get stacked delay sounds with tho, lot of ambient mileage there.

Also something about this box is hilarious
