  • pedal color code

    I think I had another thread on this a few years ago

    but Let's revisit it

    what color do you think of when you think of certain types of pedals

    overdrive
    boost
    phase
    chorus
    distortion
    high gain
    reverb
    delay

    mine is:

    overdrive = Green
    boost = White
    phase = Orange
    chorus = Light blue
    distortion = Red
    high gain = Black
    reverb = dark blue
    delay = Blue or Purple

    but I'm flexible

      While I don't care what color the box is, the LED color should be standardized for pedal type.

        Red LED = pedal for guitar players
        Any other color LED = pedal for guitar enthusiasts

        overdrive = yellow
        distortion = orange
        fuzz = red
        phase = orange
        reverb = gray
        chorus = blue
        delay = white
        flanger = purple
        compressor = orange
        tremolo = green

        You will never understand How it feels to live your life With no meaning or control And with nowhere left to go You are amazed that they exist And they burn so bright
        Whilst you can only wonder why

          What color I think of is (which has nothing to do with any industry standard or common practice):

          overdrive = yellow
          boost = black, or whatever
          phase = magenta / purple
          chorus = blue
          distortion = orange
          high gain = red
          reverb = whatever, no fixed color comes to mind
          delay = green

            Overdrive is blue.
            Phase is silver and tan.
            Delay is grey.
            Chorus is not on the board.
            Flanger is black and silver.
            Wah is black.
            Vibe is silver.

            My pedalboard is not too colorful. :P

                On this note, I am NOT a fan of blindingly bright LED's

                Just need to know it is definitively on, don't need to alert air traffic...
