  • Humbucker combo for clean sound. Alder guitar.

In fact it is a walnut guitar. But it seems the tone of walnut it is very similar to Ash or Alder (from the tone wizard).

The pickups may be nickel covered so I think It just leaves two options: Seth Lovers or a 59 set.

Which ones do you think will deliver the best tone in this guitar?

Or do you have any other combo suggestion?

    Thanks!

I like Seth's for a nice clean sound from 'buckers. I find the 59n a bit too boomy.
      Ain't nothin' but a G thang, baby.

On my fat/fat walnut body, maple/rosewood neck warmoth hardtail strat I have A5/A3 magnet modded antiquities. They rule.

One word of caution: Walnut (at least mine) already has lots of uppermids built in. Thus I'd advise to check out uppermid easy HB's like 59s ants seth etc. PG (even tho I love that pickup a lot) did not do that well in that guitar. Was too scratchy. Yet the same PG does miracles on mahogany bodies.

Thanks guys! I have to thing about it.

The pickup wizad suggest a seth lover combo in three categories. May be I wil have a look on those...

Go with the highest output humbucker you can find ... j/k!
How about an Alnico II Pro humbucker?
