  • need help choosing pickup

ok i don't know which one to get all i know is i don't want active pickups.

the sound im looking for is mostly metal, like a dimebag, slayer kinda sound. Something that would do good harmonics, pinch harmonics, great shred sound. But also should have a nice clean nothing very special just a nice clean sound.

    Any help?

    welcome to the forum!

I'm not sure about the cleans, but I'm thinking a Dimebucker might be worth a shot. Obviously it's got the Dime distortion sounds, and could probably do Slayer, too. Besides, if you don't like it, you can ALWAYS exchange it!

I know there are a couple of users on here that have clips of the Dime... they may come along, or you may try asking around in the "Tips and Clips" room. Also, if you can tell us what kind of guitar/what wood, etc, as well as what amp/effects you're using, that would help people tell you what would work.
