ok, there's the Alnico 2 and 5, and the ceramic ones. i know there are others, too, can anyone try to describe the others? i mean, is there like missing Alnico 3, 17, blah blah blah? How many different Alnico magnets are there?

Alnico 3 (at least in a humbucker, I think it has a different sound profile in a single coil) is similar to Alnico 2, but with a hair less mids and a hair more bass and treble.
Alnico 4 seems to have a hair more mids than Alnico 5 and a bit less bass. It also seems to be brighter (I thought it sounded too harsh, but in a guitar without a maple cap, it might be OK).This machine kills fascists
