  • Vintage tele stack review

Just got my guitar back today with the my new bridge pickup. I don't have much to compare this to, only my stock MIM bridge pickup but thought I'd give my opinion anyway. It definately sounds better than the stock pickup. I love the punchy tone on the lower strings. The upper strings sound a bit clearer and brighter. Since I still have the stock neck pu I compared the noise of the two and there is a lot less noise with the stack, but it's not completely gone. I like the way it sounds with the stock neck pu. It's still got some twang but kinda more strat sounding. When I uesd it with my boss OS-2 overdrive/distortion it was great. On the overdrive I could really hear that Vintage sound come out and with the distortion it just lights it up even more than my guitar with humbuckers. I don't have much pu experience so take it for what you will. Now I have an itch to get another tele and do something wild with it.
