TTops are A5, so I would say no, they are much more PAFish...
SD doesn't really make any TTopish pup that I know of...

Not to my ears. T-Tops can be pretty harsh, Alnico 2 Pros are pretty smooth all around with a bell like top end.

yes the ttops came after the ttops... wait... what?

the t tops came around later. first there was the paf, then there was the patent # pups then there was underpants, then ???, then profit, then the t tops.

the t tops are small magnet alnico 5, 7.5k with 42 pe
a 59n is sorta close spec wise but with a bigger magnet and doesnt sound all that similar

nothing in duncans line sounds all that similar to my ears. if you want a t top it may be cheaper to have the duncan custom shop make you one rather than find an old one. im not sure how much they are going for these days. with the economy it might be a good time to score one

Not to my ears. I'm not comparing to AP2's - never had those. But just compared to other hotter pickups.

They have a good grind when played through a hotter amp. Thin Lizzy all the way with the green channel of my DSL100 - OD1 on.
