in my double fat strat?...im thinking of switching out the stock pup for the above mentioned..i play mainly harder rock/metal and use a JCM 800 2204 with 6550s and an Analog Man modded SD-1/Vox 847 wah. How do each pup handle the low end on palm muted single note lines, and is the J.B. that much more treblier than the Custom Custom?...again this is an alder bodied am. double fat strat with a rosewood fretboard. While on the sub. of pups, im also looking for a good hard rockin pup for my Gibson 67 V RI. Ive got a jazz in the neck but need a good crunchy pup with plenty of definition in the low end single note dept. Was thinking maybe a C-5 or possibly the Duncan Distortion, if itll handle the tight lowend stuff, also going through the previously mentioned amp pedal combo....thanks guys, i love this place.....!

I have a marshall jcm 900 and that amp came alive when I plugged in my guitar with a CC in it. I have never been impressed with the JB at all. Yes there is alot of treble in it. CC all the way!!!!! Its hard to beat a cranked Marshall and a custom custom!!!
