The Godin website mentions the neck pickup designed for them is called the Jazz II...whats this all about? Does it sound more Jazzy than the Jazz (which doesn't sound Jazzy at all)?

Actually, they meant to say "SH-2 Jazz," and somehow it came out "Jazz II." But the pickup, which they use in the LG-series, is a stock, alnico 5, SH-2n Jazz Model, neck.
