I'm trying to replace the stock single coil bridge pickup in my reissue 72 custom telecaster with a Seymour Duncan hot rails humbucker.

The stock single coil pickup is wired as shown on the Fender wiring diagram (http://www.mrgearhead.com/faq/pdf/di...137500CPg2.pdf) using 2 wires, yellow and blue. I gather that I should solder the red and white wires on the new pickup together, but I am unsure of how to wire the black, green and shield wires. Any help would be very much appreciated

    Many Thanks, Mark.

the green and sheild are ground and should go to the back of the volume pot and the black lead should go to the switch where you unsoldered the original pickups lead. Good luck
