  • how is this wiring called?

    Hello,

    my hotrails is wired like this: red en black together to my 3-way switch and green,white en earth to the volume pot(earth). How is this wiring called? And what is the quality of this wiring? I like the sound very mutch...

      Hi Vosarnout; welcome to the forum.

      That wiring is called "parallel". It means that you have both coils of the humbucker wired side-by-side, rather than in the normal series.

      Its like in this diagram, if you have the switch "down" all the time:

        Thanks Artie,

        i don't have a push - pull pot or anything, just have a 3-way switch, a 59 in the neck and a hotrails at the bridge. And a volume en tone pot. But it make's more sens to me now.
