        Also look at the destroyer in the photo above(I have that picture-poster hung in my bar),the pickup is a cream colored mighty mite distortion(ceramic magnet)pickup,its not a dimarzio super distortion because it doesnt have the small holes on the pickup like the dimarzio super distortion has.

          yeah but there are the same wind,magnet,wire type. MM was making them from dimarzio spec's this has already been established. same pup. as for the dstroyer i always
          liked the destroyer like this as it was on the 1st record,

                he had a Dano neck like that on his Frankie for a while around the time of that thing he did with Brain May... i heard the guys at Charvel's shop had a batch of those Danonecks they got from somewhere... even Randy Rhoads pokadot V is said to of been one of these Dano necks with no truss rod...

                    Dano necks are horrible IMO. the tone of an old Dano with lipsticks is golden, but the necks are unplayable IMO.

                      My father in law has one of the re-issues of those Dano lipstick guitars. I agree they sound GREAT, but the necks are so-so. I think a little fretwork would help them a lot.
