  • h-s-h wiring around

    Hi all,

    i'm planning my first selfbuilt strat and thought of the following
    pickups ...

    bridge: STK-S2 Hot StackŪ for StratŪ bridge
    middle: SSL-1 Vintage Staggered for StratŪ neck/mid
    neck: SL59-1 Little '59 for StratŪ neck/mid

    i'm not going to split any hum's, so is my first question ....

    - do i need to choose the normal SSL-1 or the reversed?

    - why's the STK-S2 equipped with 4 wires? it's stacked,
    not a 'conventional' hum

    Thanks
    Martin

    No, the ssl-1 is fine ...

    So, that you can drop out the bottom coil *if* you wanted a split conventional HB combined with it, and still retain humcancelling capabilities, ... plus, they are probably easier to make that way.

    ... What? ... ::::snicker:::: ...Yes, ... Right, ...
    Could we please have everything louder than everything else ? ...

      just get the normal ssl1

      a stacked bucker still has two coils to kick the hum so you still need to link the coils
