  • Pots for JB/Jazz in LP?

Hey everyone, this is my first post on the forum.

I recentely got an LP copy and want to swap out the pickups for a JB(bridge)/Jazz(neck) combo.

Which CTS pots should I go with? 250k or 500k?

Welcome to the forum! Much people like this combo with 250k + seymour inveted this for 250k pots. If you use 500k the sound will be a bit brighter coz the lower value pots tame the highs a little bit. If the guitar is too dark 500k can help, if it's too bright 250k can do it.
I'm not that familiar with LP's. I'm sure If you post some more specs (model, wood, amp u're using etc) the other people can help you more....

btw. i use the JB with 500k vol and without tone pot atm but i will try it with a 250k vol pot which should give me a bit more compression. maybe it helps for a tighter high gain sound....
