  • PUPs for a B.C Rich?

    Hello guys,
i need some advice about new pups for my b.c rich beast.the stock humbuckers sound pretty good considering they are stock but they aren't really what i call versetaille. Now i'm not sure about the right combination of pups for my style(thats mainly black and death metal and speed, thrash every now and then),so i would apreciate it if you guys could help me. The pups i have in mind are the distortion the dimebucker and the invader but i don't know what would be the best pair.Since i ike to pay solos pretty often i need a wide range of tones and clear notes(muddy is a word i hate) and so maybe you could te me your experiences or ideas about thi matter.

For a balls out metal tone you could try going actice? maybe EMG 81/85 set? Also if you want to keep passive, I would also suggest a DD in the bridge. After hearing my friend's ibanez SZ520QMBBL with a DD in the bridge I am totally going to put it into my Hamer Standard. He plays in a hardcore/metal band sort of a band crossed between Atreyu and As I Lay Dying and that pickup sure holds up well, I love the bottom end its so nice and tight

I had a BC Rich myself, and it was a bad@$$ guitar... What you want to do is get 2 Seymour Duncan Invaders. One for the bridge and one for the neck. I have had this set-up in a BC Rich and an ESP, It works great tuned down, both pick-ups work awesome. No Mud.

thank you guys for the advice.I'll probably go with the distortion/invader combi.According to the tone chart these pickps should be a pretty good match. The invader has the bass and the distortion's got the highs,so it should be possible to get a good range of tones out out of them. Not to forget: Happy new year
