  • This wax potting of which you speak?

    ...a bit much maybe?

I just lifted the pups on that Cort Source I bought in the summer and this is what I found. Not to worry, the Seths will be in there soon enough. Now to get the wiring out...

I imagine they're pretty squeel resistant!

Damn, that is almost enough to pot another set of pups.

Lol holy cow. Yeah, I'd say that's a bit much =).

That's enough wax to keep a stuck pig from squealing.

Make candles out of them when you pull them out.

But don't light them all at once unless you've got some...cheap sunglasses.

I'll be keeping them well separated, just in case, combined, they reach critical mass...

In other news, I just discovered I'm one 500k CTS pot short of a complete rewire. The pots in there work fine, but whilst I was in there, I thought I may as well replace everything with decent quality stuff. No point in wasting a pair of Seths on cheap crap.

Just while I think about it, the earth to the bridge stud through to the components measures 13.6 ohms - is that an acceptable measurement, or should I pull the stud and redo it?

Sounds like way too much resistence, should be close to zero.

Logically, I understand that, I just wasn't sure how practical it was, given the way they are connected. I guess I'll pull it and see if I can get it down a bit.
