Re: Favorite Custom Variation
Well, I haven't heard any of the custom hybrids really but from the regular Customs, Custom 8 for sure, then again I have it in an Ash Stratty guitar and haven't really tested it in HT or Floyd guitars whereas the Custom 5 and Custom were in those types of guitars respectively. Also haven't tried a Custom Custom (A2).Originally posted by Blue_Fingers_JayI prefer cheaper guitars, nothing is as cool as a cheap guitar that sounds awesome.Originally posted by That90'sGuyNot all guitars are created equal, so make sure it sings and if it does, you'd be silly to pass it up.

Re: Favorite Custom Variation
That's how I listened it as well, I liked the Custom a lot but the C8 has that more organic, fuller feel to it. Re: Favorite Custom Variation
Man this is like being asked "Which pair of boobs is your favorite" Making me pick just one... for all types and applications just no bueno."It keeps you fit - the alcohol, nasty women, sweat on stage, bad food - it's all very good for you." -Bon Scott
"Let me put it this way: the 5150 will treat
you better than any girlfriend, because it screams louder, it's easier to pick up, and it shuts up when you take your plug out." -Rip Glitter

Re: Favorite Custom Variation
C/59 hybrid is becoming my favorite. I own one of the first ones Bach to Rock made.
I also like the Unoriented Roughcast Custom 5, because it's like having a Dun-Aged C5.Originally posted by Boogie BillI've got 60 guitars...but 49 trumpets is just...INSANITY! WTF!

Custom 8!!!!!
I agree that its hard to pick one pup without listing a guitar, but... I love the C8 in an explorer, trem loaded axes and love it in many applications.Believe me when I say that some of the most amazing music in history was made on equipment that's not as good as what you own right now.

Re: Favorite Custom Variation
I still have not had a chance to try and A8 in my custom yet, but through my les paul I am preferring the ceramic custom. I tried an A2 and an A5 and did not prefer either of them to the ceramic. But none of the ones I have tried yet have sounded bad.
