Re: Gibson L6-S humbuckers.
Well l just located my NOS Marauder pickups, these are the one's used on the
L6-S models with the string through body setup, mine has the tailpiece.
These plckups do have three mags but unlike the piclup plctured above,
it has three height screws with the third of to the side. It is fully epoxy coated
on the rear and has the thin black and red thin wires. Luckily I have the
original mounting rings. They measure 5.87k and 5.80k respectively.
Pretty low output for a pickup with three supposed ceramic mags.
I think I'll do an experimental wiring run with the original Gibson
Marauder's and then the Schaller Super Golden 50's before l decide
as the pickgurd will need to modifided to accomodate the three screw
rings of the mMarauder pickups.
I'll post pics on Wednesday from a proper PC as I'm typing this from
an Android phone and it's aright pain.
