I meant that the Duncan Custom did work "OK" as a neck pickup in my Hamer Monoco Super Pro guitars. It wasn't my favorite neck humbucker and it wasn't what I would have chosen for that guitar, but it sounded surprisingly good - even though I got rid of it and replaced it with a Seth Lover neck model which I liked much, much more.

Many Hamer Monaco owners swear by the Custom in the neck. Apparently it's great for jazzy clean tones and cuts well.
My Super Pro came with a Seth Lover in the neck, the original pups where already gone. I didn't like the Seth that much and I am really curious to trying a Custom in the neck. I have an old un potted Dimarzio paf in there now that sounds great though.
