Sorry if this question sounds dumb.
A couple of days ago I used a small magnet rod (those cheap stationery set, USD$1 for 3) to pass over my Duncan single coils to test the polarity.
It was only after this that I realized there might be a degauss problem.
Now I use a compass.
But is it likely that those cheap little office magnets (I guess they are rough ceramic magnet, given their price) could demagnetize the Alnico magnets?
