  • Coil Tapping Wiring Diagram

    In this wiring diagram are the coils tapped when the push pull pot is pulled up or when it's down?
    Guitars:
    Gibson ES-137 (490R/498T)
    Gibson Blueshawk (Blues P90/Hot P90
    Ibanez S470 (Jazz/Hot Stack/Custom 5)
    Squire Fat Strat (CR/Texas Custom Shop/JB)
    Yamaha Acoustic

    When up.
    In this diagram, the two center poles enter in contact with the lugs closer to the pot (so up). I.e, when black and red are linked together.
    But, that's true if you don't have a reverse working pull/push (depends on maker/model).
