  • 4 Bridge Pickup Compared Poll II

    Only two minor tweaks to my amp and everything else was exactly the same. First, I changed the gain structure from dark/thick to 12:00 which is neutral. Then I rolled the mids back from 1:00 to 12:00. That's it. You'll find that the neutral amp settings gave little favor to any particular pickup and they all sound a lot more similar now. Harder to tell the difference even though they're vastly different pickups. Check it out.

    I liked the first and the last one. First one sounded clearer followed by the fourth one. The second and third sounded more modern than the other two to me.

        They all sound close enough now that any differences would largely be lost once in a band setting.
