OK, I am confused (mostly with the switch). It is a 4p3t, (3 way on-on-on, but with 12 lugs). I just want to wire it as a normal pickup switch. Pretty please?

very little information to go by. First of all you need to figure out which lugs connect to which ones. if you have a multimeter with a 'beep'setting, use the beeps to find which lugs connect to what and then report back

Unfortunatelly, there are several ways to implement the middle position on 3-position toggles. Look at this picture:

Most of the switches I've worked with are doing it in the way I am labeling here as "Type 2" but, Ibanez' switch works differently of all those. Ibanez switch leaves the two middle poles in contact with lower lugs in the middle position.

So, as orpheo said, you will need first to identify which switching schema your 4P3T is following, with the help of a multimeter.
I bet that if it's not an Ibanez one, it will work as "type 2".

          Then, its very clear:

          1 2 3 4
          A B C D
          5 6 7 8

          Up: A5, B6, C7, D8
          Middle: A1, B6, C7, D4
          Down: A1, B2, C3, D4

How to wire it will depend on which controls do you have (how many volumes / tones).

This is the switch, alright! So, 2 HBs, 1 master volume (not 2 like in the title), 1 master tone...so how do I wire it?

For what you want, you only need half of that switch. Since thats an expensive and rare switch, I'd put it away for another project, and then just get a DPDT on-on-on switch. Wire it like this:

If you still want to use that switch, it wires up the same as I've just shown. But you only use one half of the switch.
