Re: wcr pickups with Seymour Duncan triple shot pickup ring ?
To be clear, I don't know those pickups.
Just googling, I found the following explanation, that seems to come as instructions with such a pickups:
"
Black (start) and Red (finish) are the Screw Bobbin
Green (start) and White (finish) are the Slug Bobbin
For normal humbucking operation, Red and White are connected to each other (splitter connection).
Black is hot, Green and Twisted Ground are both Ground.
"
And this is the usual in SD:
Red = screw (outer) coil finish (south)
Green = screw (outer) coil start (south)
Black = slug (inner) coil start (north)
White = slug (inner) coil finish (north)
So, if that googled information is correct, translation is:
SD --> WCR
Red --> Red
Green --> Black
Black --> Green
White --> White
so, solder:
Black to G
Green to B
White to W
Red to R
But, you better write or call to WCR people to clarify their own color schemaMy blog: http://hermeticoguitar.blogspot.com
