  • Alnico II Pro Mini-Humbuckers

    I was reading the Warren Haynes interview on the SD site. He mentioned having Alnico II Pro Mini-Humbuckers in his Firebirds. I've never seen such a pickup on the site. Are these Custom Shop pups?

    I don't mean to offend, I just have a knack for it.

    Duncans used; Lil '59, Ducky & Hotrail in my Mahogany Hardtail Strat;
    Brobucker and Cool Rail are on hold for future projects.

        The Antiquity Firebirds are A2. Great sound! Are you sure he's not meaning Firebirds but saying mini's? After all, he uses Firebird guitars.

          Gibson calls Firebird pickups minihumbuckers. I don't think he means the ones with adjustable polepieces like the LP Deluxe.

              Are you sure it's not a misprint? Antiquity firebird pickups are in the Antiquity II line. He could have a standard Antiquity Firebird pickup in there. It could refer to the Antiquity II line.
              Gibson LP Melody Maker -- stock, Epiphone Dot -- Jazz neck and '59 bridge, Fender Telecaster Blackout Deluxe -- stock, 90's MIM Standard Strat with Duncan Texas Hot Custom in the bridge.
