The Alvin Lee Gibson signature guitar has 57 Classics and an SD single coil (don't know which one).

        Re: Alvin Lee ES-335

Alvins original 335 is a 59 model so the broad answer is a PAF clone however in 59 things were still changing a lot from pickup to pickup...DC coudl range from low 7k range to high 8k range however 7.75-8.25 is a good average point and the magnets could be alnico II,III, IV or V...

Sorry I can't be more help but thats the best I can do for ya...
If you just read a post by The Guy Who Invented Fire please understand that opinions change, mind sets change and as players our ears mature...not to mention our needs grow and change. With that in mind, today I may or may not agree with the post you just read!

As a side note(w/no intention to hijack)- I hailed a cab one night in the late 80's (NYC). Guess who was driving?

            "Completely Conceded Glowing Expert."
"And Blueman, I am pretty sure you've pissed off a lot of people."
"Wait, I know! Blueman and Lew can arm wrestle, and the winner gets to decide if 250K pots sound good or not."
