    Re: screamin strat

Do you have any other information? Amp, pedals, etc? If he's using a crappy amp, a new pickup won't help him. Also, something more than "It should scream" and decent price would be helpful. What is his price range, exactly?

JB Jr is an excellent pickup. 75 isn't that expensive, either.

      +1 to agileguy.
What styles and sounds is he after?
What is his amp and pedals rig?

A PU that screams all the time, or just when you give it 'a decent price?' I know there's women like that...

Try one of the GFS rail strat pickups? I like their stuff....

Select the lead pickup (15K DC resistance)

Its a high gain solid state randall and he wants some loud high end that yells under distortion yet tame while clean

Again, what's the budget? I'd say the JB Jr is a great pick, but if that's too expensive for him his options are preeeeeetty limited.

JB Jr all the way. You can save $20 or so by getting one used from this forum.
