tone pot wiring

how do you guys wire the tone pot? do you connect the tone to the input of the volume pot (outer lug) or the output (middle lug)? I am noticing a trend in that I do the latter more and more. it rolls off less highs and makes it more like a cocked wah. what do you guys do?

I keep it on the tone pot...middle lug to ground (back of tone pot). I wire my vol pot 50's independent.

I like to keep it on my tone pot because it makes it easier if I decide to change a vol or tone pot. One less wire to unsolder.

former is modern wiring. latter is 50s.

I usually use 50s unless something else in my circuit precludes it
