I have triple shots on this guitar and wanted to squeeze some more versatility out of it by phasing the pups with the 4-way blade switch, so i can get the "quack" i get when i accidentally install a magnet backwards. Ive done a LOT of guitar wiring, but i never actually understood the difference between phasing and series/parallel until now....i think.
Bridge: wolfetone marshallhead
Neck: burstbucker 3
2 volume, 1 tone
So i wanted to set it up like this:
1. Out of phase (quack)
2. Neck
3. In phase (chime)
4. Bridge
But i accidentally wired it as series/parallel.
1. Series (hotter)
2. Neck
3. Parallel (traditional)
4. Bridge
Although it's not what i was seeking, it is pretty awesome how i can use the triple shots to get literally ANY combination of coils for not only strat/tele tone, but also brian may tone.
So now I'm probably installing a push/pull pot for phasing and leaving the 4-way for series/parallel.
