'lil custom custom?

Is there such a thing? Is it a custom shop deal?

I was recommended this on the Doug Aldrich forum, from Doug. He's tight with Seymour so he must know.

Anyhow, I was wondering what it looks and more importantly sounds like?

That would be awesome, but I'm not sure for there should be a lil for everything .

The custom custom has an alnico II magnet and if I'm not mistaken its the key to the sound. If I'm also correct the lil's use ceramic magnets which is the key to the output on those things.

Somebody correct me if I'm wrong!

No, I think you're right. I think Dimarzio makes everything "lil" but I haven't tried any of them.

Doug suggested this, so I wonder if it's a custom shop thing.
