  • Grease Bucket Doesn't Work

My tone pots are not working for my grease bucket addition. Can you take a look?

It is wired like a Strat should be with the addition of the grease tone package...This is a Costco Strat with a genuine Fender 5-way switch...It is wired just like a Standard Strat with the grease bucket added. The volume works fine, but there is no change whatsoever in both tone pots.

It looks to me like you have some cold solder joints. The tone pots are most likely not working because they are not getting a solid connection to ground.

While you're under the hood, you might want to go ahead and replace the pots with full-size CTS pots. They are relatively inexpensive, and they work a LOT better that the stock Chinese crap.
