What single coil neck p/u to pair with sh-15 Alternative 8...?

I have a '03 Fender Cyclone (H-S) that I have a sh-15 in the bridge. The neck pickup is a stock Fender "Tex-Mex" which is okay in itself, but i'm looking for something that would pair better with the sh-15... how I typically run my setup is basically bridge humbucker for any lead or overdrive, and a neck single coil for my cleans.

any suggestions on what to put in that neck position for a smooth transition between lead and clean? i got the sh-15 primarily because it was high output and well rounded tonally to go with the characteristically non-dominant tone of the poplar body. it doesn't have to particularly be *true* single coil, but needs to fit that size slot
