Which full humbucker sounds closest to Seymourized Mini?

My favorite neck pickup is the Seymourized Mini Humbucker. Nothing else sounds quite like it.

What full-sized humbucker sounds closest?

Unfortunately, nothing will replicate a mini.

I've got a custom wound Zhangbucker set with neck specs not too dissimilar to the seymourized. The closest I've heard is the Jazz/59 neck hybrid. It has the flutey open nature of a mini with some bite to it.

Thanks, Alex. I'll look into the hybrid. Add a touch of Seymourized clang and that sounds like what I'm after.

Its not a production pickup unfortunately. You'll have to buy a Jazz and 59 neck pickup and make it yourself.....that or find someone whose done it and has a spare one.

You would probably do well with the Lollar El Rayo as well since it's a mix of bucker and single coil tones.

If you want a bright sweet sound for the neck position you can get it by putting A3 magnets in a humbucker.
