    Re: Blog: Spin-A-Split

does it make a big difference using a no-load pot? I have a JB in the bridge right now with 250k for master volume, but im using 500k push pull for tone and split. Jbs reputedly sound ok with 250k pots and i have a spare 250k lying around here. Would a normal 250k be ok for the spin a split, or is the a big noticeable difference if i go for a no-load instead?

Another name for it would be 'variable unbalanced coil control.' I like spin-a-split best on neck PU's (to clean up any dark, muffled tones), and I use 500K's on those.
