SD's Magnets and Their Strength

I pulled the stock ceramic from one of my Customs a few years ago to play around with other magnets, and I think I'm ready to go back to stock with it. When I dug out the original ceramic, I tried to the fridge test with it and noticed that it has a less pull than some A2s I took out of a Phat Cat and an A8. I also remember hearing that Duncan charges their mags differently instead of using A3s and A4s. I'm wondering, is my Custom degaussed from sitting in storage or could it be that the Custom comes with a weaker ceramic?

ceramics shouldnt degauss as far as i know

If it has less pull than A2s, then it's definitely been degaussed by something. Very unlikely that it got degaussed from just sitting around, unless it was sitting near a strong magnet, because ceramic mags hold their magnetic charge quite strongly.

The stock magnet on a Custom I'm pretty sure is fully charged.
