  • 3 hole vs 2 hole humbucker tabs

    Hi folks,
I am looking to replace the pickups in my new carvin C66 and am wondering about Duncan humbuckers. I need a humbucker with three hole tabs. I noticed that some models on the webpage (e.g. Duncan Distortion) show a trembucker version with the three hole tabs. So my question is:

    1) Do only trembuckers have three hole tabs? or is it just the way they show them online?

    2) If you can get a non trembucker with three hole tabs how does one go about doing this? Is there an option name?

    Thanks for your help.
    Cheers.

AFAIK,only TBs have the 3-per-side tabs, but I could be wrong.

I'd say just get different mounting rings.Easier & cheaper.

Thanks for the reply. I am direct mounting these so wanted to use the same holes. I emailed the company but have not heard back yet.
