Covers on DDs.

I am thinking of putting a cover on my DDn. Since the pickup is taller due to the magnet, will they fit all the way on so I can solder them to the baseplate or are there special covers for the DDs?

You mean, like a bikini top? Sometimes DDs can be a little unruly, so you need something with support.

But.....if you mean the Duncan Distortion, they are offered with nickel or gold covers. So yes, you can install a cover on them and still solder them down. I think they use the same size as all the other pickups. Just make sure you get the correct spacing for the poles. I believe Duncans have a 49.2mm spacing E-E.
