  • i may have wired my black winter wrong... help please!

so i installed my black winter last night. at first it worked fine. it sounded a little weak in my opinion, but it worked. i just went to try it out and theres no sound. the neck pickup still comes through. heres what i think i did wrong.

the guitar has two volume knobs and one tone. the tone is a coil split.
i wired the black winter right to the volume pot like the schematic said(for a non coil tapped guitar) disregarding the coil tap.
i cant see how this in any way could ruin the pickup, so my only assumption is that its just wired wrong. but it doesnt make sense that it worked last night.
    help please!

Bad solder joint most likely, or you fried a pot.

i can deal with either of those. thats not a problem. i wanted to get all new pots and wiring anyway. had a mod in mind. nothing major.

i didnt fry the pickup or anything did i?

        Very highly unlikely.

great. thats what i was worried about. a new pot and fixing the wiring is cheap and easy. new pickup is not as cheap haha.
i wanna just make the guitar a one volume/one tone configuration. i hate the push/pull
