  • Neck pickup emulation

I have the EVH Striped series guitar, single pickup (amazing guitar). Problem is I'm so used to having a neck pickup and reaching for a neck pickup for the "woman tone" at times, and it's not there. Has anyone tried some wiring or capacitators to push pull a neck pickup emulation? I though a Fender Esquire had something like it, I was wondering if anyone's been successful with humbuckers

    Re: Neck pickup emulation

The location of a neck pickup is what makes it sound special . . . the strings vibrate differently higher up than further down the neck. You might be able to make a bridge pickup sound more muffled with a capacitor, but I don't see how you could make it sound like a passable neck pickup.
