  • Eko guitars pickups?

Anyone have any information on these? More specifically the pickups used on the Eko 400. I'm interested in replicating one in the near future and I want to know how the pickups are made.
    The list:
Magnet types? Are they magnetic poles or bars like a P90?
    Wire type/gauge? DCR?
Construction techniques? Baseplates or just formwork?

Any other info anyone has will be appreciated!
Hopefully someone with an Eko or experience with them can help

    Thanks

Here you can get some info on Vintage Eko guitars.

These p'ups have long history of dying on their owners much too soon.

Tone-wise they've never been something to write home about.

May I ask you WHY you want to replicate'em?

I've always liked the tone. You are right in that it's not something to write home about but it's different which is kinda endearing it's got a thin tone but it sounds cool for surf sounds.

The ones I've played weren't well put together but I figured that if I can build it myself I won't have that problem

Thanks for the site though. It should help
