  • Help me choose pickups for my upcoming EP!

    Hi guys!

    I am going to come up with my first EP this month, and my guitar wiring is rusty, the volume pot became an on/off switch if you get it. I bought a new pickguard, pots and new wires, so I guess why not buy a new pickup too?

    Basically the guitar is a strat with alder body, maple neck and fretboard. I will only be using the bridge pickup, but theres one song that i will be using the neck for clean. I want a raw sounding, twangy crispy pickup for the bridge especially when playing a chord. I dont have a specific brand in mind. What do you guys recommend? Heres a clip of my demo to give an idea;

    Thanks!

      That's 'PG Plus', not the regular PG, which is much warmer, and certainly not twangy and crisp.

        Pretty crisp to my ears (I generally prefer a warmer tone), maybe not so crisp to your ears (you like very bright toned pups).

            Maybe a Duncan Twangbanger?

              Well that certainly makes a bit of a difference.
