  • Newby wiring question

Hey guys. First time wiring my own guitar and I need some help!
I've got a Carvin ct4. I had the bridge pickup swapped with a JB a few years ago, now I want to swap out the neck with a pearly gates.
Can anyone point me in the direction of a schematic for:

    2 humbuckers
    1 volume (no push/pull)
    No tone (dummy knob)
    3 way switch
    Down- bridge humbucker
    Middle- neck single coil
    Up- neck humbucker

The 3 way switch is stock. This one - http://www.carvinguitars.com/products/S1C

Sorry if this has been posted before
    Thanks!!!

you need an on/off/on DPDT switch; a standard 3 way will blend both humbuckers, if you mean a gibson style 3 way. I'd go for a mini toggle DPDT that way you can add other cool things later on! If you want i can probably draw you up a quick diagram, it's quite easy to do. I'd throw a tone in there with an on/off switch, have all pickups connect to it and run a capacitor on it to get better tone. It won't hurt and why have a pot in there that does nothing?
