  • Special wiring I can't find anywhere.

Hey, I'm trying to figure out if this is possible:

2 humbuckers with 3 way (tele style) switch ONE master volume, ONE master tone.
Here's where it get's interesting - I'd like the tone pot to be a push/pull that when down, functions like above. When pulled up it changes to a second volume. So the first volume goes from being master to only bridge volume and the push/pull becomes the neck volume (the tone would be bypassed, as if at 10.)

    Is this do-able?

    Thanks!

I don't think all of these are possible just with one switch. The problem I can see is that there are three things you need to do: 1. moving the neck pickup output after the 3-way from 1 volume to another, 2. bypassing the tone, changing the wiring to take the cap out of the tone circuit so it will then act as a volume. A push-pull only has 2 possible functions....the left lugs and the right.

The only way I can see this working is if the cap is far side of the bypass switching.

Hopefully Artie or Hemetico will see this and get their thinking caps on

I honestly don't see any way you can do that with just a DPDT.
The good new is that you can do that with a 4PDT and, the Fender S-1 push/push can be handy and classy for this application.
      See attached diagram.
