A2 and the BK Stormy Mondays?

I notice that the BKP Stormy Mondays use alnico 2 but the EQ is slightly scooped. TheY use the term "hollow mids". I like this, a warm top end but with out a congested midrange. I wonder how they pulled that off?

It might be the relative low amount of wire? The bridge is only about 7.7K A guy at BK wrote that more winds really exagerates the A2 EQ and response, so maybe a lower wind is part of it?

They may well have used a short A2. This tends to give a scoop, but not like an A5. Its like a sweet scoop.

'Hollow mids' still means big, wide mids, just not as thick and chewy. You can do that with A2's. It's different than scooped mids, which are thin.
